PRESS RELEASE Buffalo Tournament Club Golf Course Projects Front Nine Opening Date The Buffalo Tournament Club was conceived by Marlene and Tim Davis as an upscale, 18 hole public access golf course. The facility was designed to provide players of all abilities with a dynamic golfing experience. Marlene is an LPGA Golf Instructor, currently teaching at the Paddock Chevrolet Golf Dome in Tonawanda. Tim is a PGA Professional who designed and built the golf course at Buffalo Tournament Club and has provided design and construction services to several other local golf facilities. Bob and Lisa Colletti of Boca Raton, Florida, round out the ownership group and have participated actively in the planning and developmental support of the facility. The front 9 is scheduled to open May 14, 2005 and the back 9 is projected for an October opening. The golf course is located 7.5 miles east of Buffalo Niagara International Airport on Genesee Street (Route 33) in the Town of Lancaster. The property on which the course was built consisted of a series of small farmed fields, woodlands, abandoned gravel quarries, many mature trees, and 55 feet of elevation change. The soils are sandy loam and provide excellent drainage. Designed in an “updated traditional” style, with very large amended soil greens and strategic bunkering, the Buffalo Tournament Club has nine ponds and a small brook that blends into the landscape, as low wooden bridges cross wetland areas. Five sets of tees allow players of all skill levels to enjoy the bent grass fairways which are irrigated by an automatic, double row system. Conveniently located for all of the Buffalo metropolitan area, the Buffalo Tournament Club can replace long road trips and international bridge traffic with a high quality local alternative. Golfers from all of Western New York and Southern Ontario will find the golf course a worthy destination. Weekday evening leagues are now forming, with some choice times still available. League tee times are from 4pm until 6pm Monday through Friday, starting May 16th and ending September 2nd. Also being offered for a limited time is the “First 100” package, which will provide the opportunity to play the course with a guest on the opening day of the front 9 as well as opening day of the full 18 holes. The golf package includes $1,500 in golf credit which can be used over 3 seasons and a commemorative logoed golf cap. This package is limited to only 100 participants and is priced at $999.00.
