BuffaloGolfer began as an 8.5 x 11 foldover newsletter (promoted generously as a “4 page digest on golf in western New York.”) A high school student html project, of all things, gave the adult editors the impetus to move BG to what was then an uncertain medium, the internet. BuffaloGolfer continues to promote golf across the Niagara frontier and has vested plans to do so into the future.

Chris Whitcomb has written for BuffaloGolfer for seven years, as The Mouth That Roars. He has worked for the PGA of America and written for Business First, in addition to his duties with this fine website. 2011 is the year that Chris remembers how to swing a golf club. His posts on the new BuffaloGolfer.Com appear as Mouth.

Ronald Montesano is the founder of BuffaloGolfer.Com. He faintly recalls the original “Buff-Golf.Org,” the child of a print newsletter that he compiled and hand-delivered in the late 1990s. Too many influences have made buffalogolfer what it is today, but the guidance of George Campos, Jeff Russo, John Murphy, John Daken and others has been invaluable.
