August 1, 2011 –
Doug Uhazie of the Boys 16 – 18 Division steals the show in the last regular season event for the 2011 First Niagara WNYPGA Junior Tour. Uhazie came in as the first group from the 7:30 AM Shotgun Start at Lancaster CC and seemed pretty confident that his 69 would hold up to take first place. Doug was correct as his 3 under was 9 ahead of second place in his division. That was an impressive end to an outstanding summer on the tour for Uhazie as he looks to keep that momentum going into the two day championship on August 8th and 9th. The first round will be played at Niagara Falls CC and the second round will be at Transit Valley CC. Other first place finishers on the day included Andrew Kempton (Boys 13-15), Sarah Singleton (Girls 18 Hole), Sara Riso (Girls 9 Hole) and Jordan Weigand (Boys 9 Hole). Great job juniors and what an exciting summer!
