In two days, Patty Jordan will play 100 holes of golf at Westwood Country Club to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. That’s a lot of golf in one day, walking or riding. I know, as I’ve done it. She picked a great time of year to marathon; cool weather ensures that you don’t get too hot nor too cold. Nice move, pro!

Patty Jordan is the Program Director for The First Tee Of Western New York. She is a golf teaching professional and coach at Harvest Hill golf club in Orchard Park. Jordan played the LPGA tour for a number of years, winning on both the Futures (now Symetra) and LPGA tours. In other words, she golfs her ball and can teach you to golf yours!

The point of this piece is to call attention to a sacrificial act and to encourage folks to give a little ($5 or $10 or more) to help find a cure for an insidious disease whose gene is carried by many, unknowingly. What is also important is some 88% of your donation will actually go toward finding a cure; that’s a pretty good sum.

If you’re interested in donating through Patty’s marathon, visit her site here: http://www.cff.org/LWC/dsp_donationPage.cfm?idEvent=25005&idUser=423019

UPDATE: Patty has raised $4615 to date. Let’s push through to help her reach her goal of $5000!!
