The Porter Cup field became a bit more clear after today’s qualifier at Niagara Falls Country Club. Jeb Buchanan posted the low score of the day (-5). Brian Churchill-Smith and Chris Covelli also qualified with under par scores. Ryan Terdick, Chris Malec, Zachary Kempa, Daniel Kim and Sebastian Pinzon all qualified via playoff.
Several of the qualifiers brought interesting stories to the course Monday. Buchanan won the event despite not arriving to his hotel until 1:30 a.m. Monday and having to tee off at 9:40 a.m. Covelli started his day with four straight bogeys before playing the final 14 holes in -6.
