The nine-man section VI state golf teams finds itself in 6th place (of 11) after day one of the NYSPHSAA (public high school) golf championships at Robert Trent Jones golf course of Cornell University. Dan Weimer (Silver Creek, 74), David Berkun (Williamsville North, 75) and Nolan Ditcher (Randolph, 76) find themselves in the top 15 individually. The top six individuals move on after Monday’s second round to the Federation championship on June 9th at Bethpage Stae Park’s Black course (Farmingdale, NY.)
Section V (Rochester) placed six golfers in the top 20 on Sunday to take an 8-stroke lead over sections III and XI. For all results, click here.
