Time flies by and days become years and soon you think something that happened last year actually happened five years ago. That’s kind of the feeling I took away from reading this Associated Press article about the history of Tiger Woods’ injuries. The most recent injury issue came at this week’s The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass during which Woods’ WD’d after just nine holes.

Looking at the list of injuries, I actually thought Woods’ had struggled with his knees for much longer that he has in reality. He had surgery in 1994 and 2002 but then has had eight documented issues from 2008 on. That’s a heck of a lot of issues for three years. I’d have thought those eight were stretched out over five years just from my memory.

If you read this site regularly, you know I penned an open letter to TW earlier this week to let him know how much I miss him. I still think Woods will return to form at some point and bust Jack Nicklaus’ record, but the injuries worry me more than anything else than has happened in Tiger’s life.
