Watching professional golf that occurs in Australia is quite conducive to my schedule. Two weeks in a row now I’ve been able to come home, workout and still tune into the thick of the competition. Thursday my friends and I went out to watch the NFL game and also kept tabs on the golf on a separate TV. Last night I stayed in to get some work done and was able to keep tabs on the drubbing the US is putting on the International team in the Presidents Cup.<\/p>\n

That’s part of it – I could also get used to watching the US beat the smithereens out of other teams. That’s what’s happening if you haven’t been paying attention. The U.S. team is soundly destroying those guys named Day, Baddeley, Scott, Els and Goosen. It’s refreshing and another sign of the resurgence of American golf.<\/p>\n
During the summer I always struggle with the British Open. I get up at 4 a.m. on workday and try to tune in for a bit. The rounds are over before I get home from work. Even on the weekends, I can’t get anything done if I want to watch the full third and four rounds. There are much bigger problems in the world than what golf tournaments fit my schedule best – but it’s still something.<\/p>\n
I like these tourneys in Australia. I hope the U.S. keeps it up.
