The Niagara Championship<\/a>, part of the Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada<\/a> 2016 schedule, is pleased to announce that Dudley Hart has been given a sponsorship exemption and will be golfing in the Niagara Championship from September 6-11 at Cherry Hill Club in Fort Erie.<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old, who was born in Rochester, New York, and now resides in Naples, Florida, has over $12 million in career earnings.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m very excited to play in the Niagara Championship, I grew up in the Buffalo area and it\u2019s always a treat to play anywhere close to home,” said Hart, who joined the PGA Tour in 1991.<\/p>\n

Hart is the first to receive a sponsor exemption for the Niagara Championship. There are five more sponsor exemptions to be given out for the event, and will be announced this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very pleased that Dudley Hart accepted his exemption and will be returning to the Southern Ontario and Western New York area, where he has enjoyed much success in the past,\u201d said Bram Cotton, Niagara Championship Tournament Chair.
\n2016 marks the 20th Anniversary of Hart winning the Bell Canadian Open with a one-shot victory over David Duval at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario.<\/p>\n

“I do still have many fond memories of winning the Bell Canadian Open as it was my first victory and being so close to my childhood home in Buffalo. I had many friends watching and cheering me on then and I know many of them are planning on coming to Cherry Hill to watch even though we all are much grayer and fatter than we were then,” Hart quipped.<\/p>\n

The Niagara Championship, which is the second last stop on the 2016 Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada schedule, will be open to the public from September 6-11 with free admission.<\/p>\n<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
