With the top 64 players in the world in Arizona, the pickings weren\u2019t as strong as most weeks. My eyes settled on the name Spencer Levin. This guy\u2019s been playing well this season I thought in my brain, and just like that, I picked him.<\/p>\n<p>This week at Bay Hill, Levin is again on my fantasy golf team and I know a bit more about him. First off, the guy\u2019s having a strong 2011 season. He\u2019s made 8 of 9 cuts this season with a 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place finish (at Mayakoba \u2013 thank you Spencer), two top 10s and five top 25s. This week he\u2019s slotted in second place after two rounds at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.<\/p>\n<p>What else do you need to know about Levin? Here are some fast facts.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>~ If it gets windy, he might get blown into a water hazard. Levin is just 155 lbs and his forearms look like long golf club shafts. When he eventually wins on tour this season, I hope he\u2019s able to lift the trophy over his head.<\/p>\n<p>~ Good golf runs in his family. His father, Don, was an All-American golfer at San Jose State and played the PGA Tour in the early 1980s.<\/p>\n<p>~ We know he\u2019s good at baseball though \u2013 he pitched in three California State Championship All-Star baseball games.<\/p>\n<p>~ He finished T13 at the 2004 U.S. Open Championship with a score of +8. It was an impressive debut and his only start on the professional tour that year.<\/p>\n<p>~ A year later he was cut from the 2005 U.S. Open. Something tells us he\u2019ll have stronger performances in his future.<\/p>\n<p>~ Looking for a local tie? Kid won the 2004 Porter Cup in Lewiston.
