<\/strong><\/span>Fairhaven, MA (April 3, 2011)<\/strong> \u2013 Pro V1x loyalist Stacy Lewis<\/strong> made the splash everyone was waiting for Sunday at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, making her first LPGA victory a major championship while leading a 1-2 finish for Titleist Pro V1x golf ball players. Lewis, who overcame scoliosis and major corrective surgery as a teenager and finished T-5 at the 2007 Kraft as an amateur, closed with a 3-under 69 for a three shot victory at the Dinah Shore course at Mission Hills Country Club. \u00a0Her final round included four birdies, just one bogey and a clutch 20-foot par putt from the fringe on No. 17 that will register as one of the event’s lasting images. \u00a0The win marked the 33rd victory for Titleist golf ball loyalists across the worldwide professional tours in 2011, more than five times the nearest competitor with six and more than all competitors combined.<\/span><\/p>\n

LPGA TOUR:<\/strong> Lewis, 26, a former star golfer at the University of Arkansas who won the LPGA’s Q-School in 2008, celebrated by taking the traditional plunge into Poppie’s Pond, surely an unsurprising scene to anyone that has followed her promising career. \u00a0Lewis finished the four rounds at 13-under 275, three shots ahead of three-time major champion fellow Pro V1x loyalist Yani Tseng<\/strong>, her main challenger over the final two days.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Lewis and Tseng were two of 81 players at the Kraft Nabisco Championship that trusted Titleist golf balls, nine times the nearest competitor with 9. <\/span><\/p>\n

– In total, 3,981 players have teed up Titleist golf balls in competition across the worldwide professional tours in 2011, more than six times the nearest competitor with 637 and more than all competitors combined.<\/span><\/p>\n

EUROPEAN TOUR: <\/strong>Pro V1x loyalist David Horsey<\/strong> became the first player to win on the European Tour playing the new Pro V1x golf ball, making a hole-in-one early in his round and then sinking a 3-foot birdie putt on the second hole of a playoff to capture the Troph\u00e9e Hassan II in Morocco. \u00a0Horsey survived the three-man playoff that also included Pro V1 loyalist Rhys Davies. All three players finished at 13-under 274.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Horsey\u2019s final round 3-under 69 also included an ace at the 220-yard par-3 second hole.<\/span><\/p>\n

Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the Troph\u00e9e Hassan II with 70 players, nearly four times the nearest competitor with 18 and more than all competitors combined.<\/span><\/p>\n

CHAMPIONS TOUR:<\/strong> Pro V1 loyalist Tom Lehman<\/strong> fired a final round 3-under 69 to win the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic for his second Champions Tour title of 2011 and fourth of his career.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Lehman’s 16-under 200 total was good enough for a four-shot victory. His second-round 8-under 64, which featured seven back-nine birdies, set the course record at Fallen Oak.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Lehman was one of 52 players at the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic that played a Titleist golf ball, more than four times the nearest competitor with 12. Titleist also was first in Iron Sets (23); Sand, Lob and Approach Wedges (T-52); and Putters (20). <\/span><\/p>\n

PGA TOUR:<\/strong> Titleist Brand Ambassador Chris Kirk<\/strong>, who held the lead after two rounds at the Shell Houston Open, capped his best career finish on the PGA TOUR with a 5-under 67 on Sunday, tying Pro V1 loyalist Scott Verplank<\/strong> for 2nd<\/sup> place. \u00a0Kirk and Verplank each posted total scores of 17-under 271. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>– Kirk gamed a new driver and irons this week, as well as a new Scotty Cameron putter that he borrowed from his agent. \u00a0Kirk’s equipment consisted of: \u00a0Pro V1x golf ball, 910D3 driver, 910F.d fairway metal, 910H hybrids, MB irons, Vokey Design wedges, Scotty Cameron Classic 1 putter. <\/span>

\n– Kirk led the field in Greens in Regulation for the week (87.5%) and finished T-2 in Birdies, with 23.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>– Titleist Brand Ambassador Steve Stricker<\/strong> (Pro V1x, 910D3 driver, 906F2 fairway metal, 909H hybrid, AP2 irons, Vokey Design wedges) equalled his best finish of the season, tying Pro V1x loyalist Aaron Baddeley<\/strong> for 4th at 13-under 275.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n– Nine Titleist golf ball players finished in the Top 10 and ties at the Shell Houston Open. In total, 95 players trusted Titleist golf balls, more than six times the nearest competitor with 14 and more than all competitors combined.<\/span><\/p>\n

Titleist was also first in Hybrids (34), including 21 new 910H models; Iron Sets (42): Sand, Lob and Approach Wedges (121); and Putters (55).<\/span><\/p>\n
