A number of years ago I had the distinct pleasure and privilege of having lunch with Mr. Clay Brittain Jr. at his Sea Captain\u2019s House Restaurant. \u00a0Mr. Brittain is one of the \u201cfathers of golf\u201d for Myrtle Beach. \u00a0In 1967, he co-founded Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, a marketing co-operative developed to promote golf in the Myrtle Beach area and in 1971 he founded the Myrtle Beach National Company now owns three resorts and six golf courses and all as manages another five more.<\/p>\n
