Love him, hate him, want to chase him with a four iron…Tiger Woods is a welcome sight up near the top of The Masters leaderboard.<\/p>\n
When the time comes, golf will be just fine without Tiger (see McIlroy, Day, Mahan, Fowler, Johnson, Watson….) but since he’s only in his 30s\u00a0it’s so much more fun when he’s playing well. He’s one of a few guys I’d like to see win this weekend.<\/p>\n

There’s no guarantee this Masters will be as electrifying as the current leaderboard suggests it will be, but it’s going to be a blast finding out. You have the young guns leading the way in Rory McIlroy and Jason Day and the stalwarts (Woods and Phil Mickelson) within reach. Sergio Garcia is playing well. Rickie Fowler is playing well. Fred Couples is even hanging in again. All of those players are good, exciting stories.<\/p>\n
All of that and there’s still K.J. Choi, Ricky Barnes, Geoff Ogilvy and Alvaro Quiros to add in the mix. How many ways can you spell exciting weekend of golf?<\/p>\n
It doesn’t matter if Woods wins this week or not (to golf fans). But it will be more captivating, more “I gotta see this” if he can hang close. Woods has become a polarizing figure in a sport full of ho-hum guys.\u00a0The sport benefits from Woods’ every swing.<\/p>\n
If you’re able, sit back all weekend long\u00a0and watch this thing unfold. It’s a leaderboard built for awesomeness.
