Claiming the 29th, 30th and 31st Victories of the Season for the #1 Putter in Golf, Odyssey Putters Win both PGA TOUR Events and on the Champions Tour~
CARLSBAD, Calif., August 7, 2012 – Odyssey®, the #1 Putter in Golf®, announced today that the Brand compiled three more wins across the world’s major tours this weekend. The three victories continue an incredible winning streak for Odyssey that includes three PGA TOUR wins over the past three weeks, and six worldwide wins in the past three weeks. Odyssey has now amassed 31 worldwide wins this season, including 18 wins over the past 11 weeks. Odyssey is the most used putter across the world’s six major tours.
At the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, OH, an Odyssey White Hot XG Sabertooth Long Putter rallied late to win on the 72nd hole with a clutch, 18-foot par putt. The top-3 finishers in Akron all used an Odyssey putter, and there were five Odyssey putters among those who finished T8 or better. Odyssey led the putter count in Ohio by a considerable margin with 42.3 percent usage in the field. Additionally, twenty-two of the thirty-three Odyssey putters in play were used by non-staffers, meaning these players are not compensated for using Odyssey products, but instead chose the putter that gives them the best opportunity to win.
Just a few hours later and three time zones away, Odyssey captured another PGA TOUR win at the Reno-Tahoe Open, where a White Hot XG #1 Belly Putter rolled to a one-point victory in the modified stableford format. And on the Champions Tour at TPC-Twin Cities in Minnesota, exceptional putting in the final round with an Odyssey White Hot 2-Ball Long Putter propelled the winner’s two-stroke victory.
