The Williamsville schools flexed their muscles on Monday at Grand Island’s River Oaks golf club. North’s Ben Reichert, a previous state qualifier (as a freshman in 2013) played the 6800-yard course at three-under par over 27 holes to claim the medal. Coming in at the 7th and 8th positions, at eight- and ten-over par, respectively, were teammates Mike Kessler and Mike Wells. East’s Chris Yustin came in at seven-over par and claimed the 5th spot. Additional qualifiers were Nolan Ditcher of Randolph, who will make his third appearance at Cornell University’s Robert Trent Jones golf course; Cody Latimer of Chautauqua Lake; Brad Belote of Lancaster; Ian Wilson of Hamburg and Erich Spitz of Orchard Park.
