About the Course

Byrncliff is a roller-coaster ride of golfing fun. From the climb up-down-up the 2nd hole, to the final stroll to the 18th green, golfers experience a variety of holes not found on other area courses.

From the Byrncliff resort website:

The Byrncliff golf course is one of the premiere public golf courses in Western New York. It is a picturesque 18-hole golf course, par 72, with meticulously groomed fairways and greens for every skill level.  It is a scenic and fun-to-play course in a gorgeous setting of rolling hills, quiet beauty you are sure to enjoy. Established in 1967, Byrncliff offers you 50 years of experience, quality services and friendly hospitality.

The course is laid out in the “Buffalo Hill Valley” with the winding Cayuga Creek cutting through the front nine and running along Humphrey Road as you play hole numbers 7, 17 and 18.

For those who want to practice, we offer a driving range.  Even a miniature golf for the rest of the family!

Course Layout

Byrncliff’s front nine plays over the south side of Humphrey Road. The undulating 2nd gives way to the launch-pad 3rd, and the treacherous trace of 4 through 6. No respite awaits on 7 through 10, as the billows and roils of each fairway offer a delightful variety of lies and caroms. The back nine drops again into the creek valley, before pursuing a flat trace on 11 and 12. Into the hills again on the diabolical 13th, then across country once more on the back-to-back par 5 14th and 15th. Home again on 16-18, then exhilaration.
