Jack Nicklaus once commented that he had never missed a crucial putt on the last hole of a tournament. When someone in the audience reminded him of a specific situation in which he had missed such a putt, Nicklaus replied, “I didn’t miss that putt. I made the putt – the ball missed the hole.”
