Jim Colton is a guy that Scrambler and I know through exchanges on Golf Club Atlas, an online golf architecture forum. Seems that in person, he’s much more than an authoritative voice. He’s a guy who literally walks the walk for someone who no longer can.

Ben Cox was paralyzed this Winter from the chest down. He may never walk again. Jim Colton loves to play walking golf, so much so that he is a member at Ballyneal in Colorado, where Cox used to caddy. On Monday, June 20th, Colton will play six rounds of golf over his favorite course, putting one foot in front of the other, to raise money for Ben Cox’s treatment. To date, Colton has raised $37000 and can raise the bar no longer. He thought that a few good friends might be able to help him raise a few thousand dollars; now he knows better.
