What: 2013 NYSPHSAA Boy’s Golf STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Where: Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.
When: June 1-3, 2013. 36 Hole Medal Play Event which will take place on Sunday, June 2nd and Monday June 3rd.
Who: The Top (9) Players in all of Section VI (59 School Districts / Golf Teams) – the Top 1%. The Top (9) qualified for states on May 20, 2013 at Diamond Hawk GC, Cheektowaga, NY in a 27 hole medal play event.

Williamsville North HS has 3 players going to states, 2 returning. The non-returning player (Mark Lesinski) finished 3rd at the 2012 ECIC Qualifier (Results: Click Here.)
FYI, The ECIC, NO, and NFL Leagues play their seasons in the Fall (2012). The CCAA leagues play in the Spring (2013).
Williamsville North has won the ECIC Team Championship for the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Seasons, the last Williamsville team to win the ECIC crown was Williamsville East in 1997, and Williamsville South in 1994, 1995, 1996.

Competition Details:
– There are 11 Sections in all of NYSPHSAA who will compete for the State Title. The Winning section will be determined by taking the best daily 8 scores (out of 9) from each section, and adding them up. The Section with the lowest two-day total will be declared the overall winner. The top 3 sections will be recognized at the conclusion of the tournament.
– The State All-Star Team will consist of the 20 players (and ties) with the lowest two-day total score.
– The Top 6 Overall Finishers will be invited to represent NYSPHSAA at the (NYSFSSAA) NYS Federation of Secondary School Athletic Associations at Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, NY on June 10, 2012.
-Information on the results of the tournament will be sent to the media, via email following each day of the State Tournament by either myself and/or the State Golf Committee.
