There is a dominant public club in Buffalo-Niagara and it is Sheridan Park. The men from two-mile creek swept first and second spots in both the A and B divisions of the WNY Public Links Golf Association’s two-man better ball championships. The tournament, held on June 24th, took place at Hyde Park golf course in Niagara Falls.
In Class B, Sheridan Golf won on a match of cards with Sheridan White. The teams of John Teglash & Keith Huard, Tim Dean & Mike Zimmer, Jim Duggan & Mike Harrington secured the victory. In Class A, Sheridan Blue eked out a two-stroke win over Sheridan Red and Hyde Park #1. Teams of Vince Puglia & Dan Misko, Jeff Frey & Glen Gast (WNYPLGA Directors!), Brian Engl & Mike Knott produced the low team score.
With the exception of Crag Burn and Springville, there is no other area club (public or private) that can challenge Sheridan’s strength. Click the links below to access all scores
