The ANAdeeds WNY PGA junior tour took up residence on the eastern shores of western New York for the next few weeks. The club pros of western New York headed west, to Erie, PA and Lawrence Park golf course. In other words, the WNY PGA had an umbrella over the region.
William Thomson (13-15), Kyle Bromley (16-18) and Jeremy Summerson (9 hole) earned tournament titles in the boys brackets, while Nicole Filipski (18 hole) and Natalie Inchiosa (9 hole) took home crowns for the girls divisions.
At Lawrence Park, Transit Valley pro Tim Fries earned a three-stroke victory against Dwayne Randall (Peek’n Peak) and Alex Weir (Kahkwa Club) in the individual portion of the event. In the team challenge, head pro David Wedzik and his three-man team (David Irwin, Matt Turk, John Collins) squeaked out a one stroke victory.over Fries and his triumvirate.
