A wonderful day of golf at Dande Farms Country Club in Akron, NY, culminated in a match of cards for the overall champion of the first WNYPLGA event of the 2012 season. Tom Wilson and Tim Reilly lucked out in a win over Mike Spanbauer and Mike Leto after the teams tied with scores of one-under par 70.
Spanbauer and Leto won the Nicklaus flight by two strokes over Joe Gugino and Dave Morgante, while Gary Neuschel and Gary Edenhofer won the Player flight by 3 strokes over Mike Moran and Dick Pisa (runners-up in a match of cards over Chuck Pearson and BuffaloGolfer’s own Dick “Rico’s Rants” Piechowicz.)
