Adidas Samba Golf Shoe: 2012’s First Success Story

When I was a soccer player “back in the day,” I loved the Samba black flat for indoor pelotaand basic running around. Imagine my delighted surprise when I learned that Adidas planned to release a Samba golf shoe. I couldn’t get my hands on a pair quickly enough.

Are they comfortable? Yes. Easy on and off? Yes and Yes. Transferable from the golf course to the real world? Three loud Yesses. And, as I told the kids on the golf team that I coach, if night falls, just look for the glow from my blue Sambas (yust yoking~no dayglow effect.)

Did I mention how light they are? Amigos, they are really light. If you’re a walker who carries a bag, you’ll love them. Actually, you’ll float in them.

As if these kicks weren’t cool enough, Adidas decided to release four special color combinations, to honor the professional male major championships. The Masters (shoe pictured below), US Open, British Open and PGA Championship received a unique treatment. Between us, the Masters colors are killer! So Brazilian, so Samba!
