To no one’s surprise, in alphabetical order, the names Cantlay, English, Henley and Uihlein will be stitched on golf bags bearing the USA logo at Royal Aberdeen. The United States Golf Association announced Sunday that Patrick Cantlay, Harris English, Russell Henley and Peter Uihlein will form part of the ten-man team that will represent the United States of America in Scotland this fall.

Uihlein is the sole returning member of the four; the other three will earn their first caps for the USA in international team play (excluding the Palmer Cup.) With those four named, six slots remain and the plot thickens. At this juncture, here are my guesses for the remaining sextet of golfers:

*Nathan Smith…mid-am with experience, will serve as a
*Patrick Rodgers…youth movement, part 1
*Blayne Barber…because Sean Martin (http://www.golfweek.com/news/2011/jul/25/walker-cup-watch-list-great-week-us/) says he will!!
*John Peterson…this boy can flat-out get it rolling and make birdies
*Jordan Spieth…youth movement, part 2
*David Chung…will resurrect 2010 at Western and/or US Amateurs and make team
