The Monroe Invitational was won by Taylor Pendrith, the 2013 Porter Cup champion. Pendrith turned professional soon after and will not return to defend his title. The 2015 field is comprised of 78 golfers, including local favorites Gavin Hall of the University of Texas and Will Thompson, the 2014 International Junior Masters champion. Other faces to watch include Danny Guise and Clancy Waugh of Wake Forest, Garrett Rank of Ontario, Derek Bard of the University of Virginia and Shotaro Ban of Cal-Berkeley. The tournament began Wednesday morning and will continue through Saturday, when a champion will be recognized.
