The field is set for the inaugural AJGA New Era Junior Championship, from July 14th to the 17th, at the River Oaks Golf Club on Grand Island, New York. The event will welcome 20 of the top female junior golfers in the world and over 60 of their male counterparts. A practice round and Junior Am will be held on Monday, July 14th. From Tuesday through Thursday, the golfers will compete at medal play for 54 holes over the Desmond Muirhead-designed golf course on the largest island in the Niagara River. A number of local entrants, including Prep Talk player of the year Chelsea Dantonio of Lancaster and Maren Cipolla of Lewiston in the female bracket, and Ben Reichert of East Amherst, Gregory Sibick of Williamsville and hometown favorite Kevin Borowicz of Grand Island in the male bracket, will attempt to keep the championship trophies in western New York.
