Interview: Nine Questions with Valentino Dixon
Valentino Dixon began drawing at a very early age, and he was always quite good at the art form. He honed his craft under the watchful eye of an elementary school teacher, then went on to Performing Arts high school in Buffalo. At the age of 21, Dixon was convicted of...
A quick nine with Porter Cup champion Ben Reichert
It helps to have his number in your contacts, that's all I'll say. Thanks, Sibgolf! The day after a guy gets his most important win to date, you hardly expect him to answer a text. And that tells you just what kind of guy Ben Reichert is. Thanks, Coach Burns!! The...
Trees take Reichert to new height at Porter Cup
Ben Reichert did something on Saturday that no western New York golfer had done since 1965: he won the Porter Cup amateur invitational at Niagara Falls country club. Reichert did so in skilled and dramatic fashion (we'll get to both later.) The East Amherst native and...

Mo’ returns to the lesson tee
I've been fortunate to take lessons from some top-shelf instructors over the years. If given the choice between a $500 driver and 4 $125 lessons, I'll always opt for the later. I have friends who go the other way, and I've always been mystified by their approach. More...
