The Niagara Falls country club announced the Qualifier Date for the 57th playing of the Porter Cup. The round will take place on June 29th at the Lewiston club. At stake are 8 positions and all entrants must have a handicap of 3 or less. The entry fee is $175 and includes practice round arranged with the club through the club’s pro shop. The 2014 qualifier welcomed 95 golfers to the first tee. A score of 68 was needed to advance to the tournament proper. Of the eight qualifiers, Austin James performed at the highest level. The Bath, Ontario native tied for ninth place with three rounds of 70 and a final-day 67. Dan Yustin of East Amherst tied for 18th place with 74-68-68-70.
