Save the 7th of September on your golfing calendar. The management at Rothland Golf Course in Akron, NY, has announced the inaugural playing of the Rothland Open. The tournament will feature professional and amateur divisions, with a top prize of $4000 for the professionals (based on 60 entrants.) The amateur division will be split into net and gross sections, with a limit of 30 strokes in the net division.
Amateur subdivisions will be established once the field is completed. Golfers with a handicap of 10 or below are invited to compete either in the professional division or in the amateur one.
