Disclaimer: I have never seen Augusta National Golf Course in person.
Yes, I love watching The Masters on TV every year. It has a large number of things in its favor: it is usually a tightly contested tournament, the course always looks like something out of a post card sent out from the Augusta Chamber of Commerce, coverage has a limited number of commercial interruptions and there is the constant chance for the spectacular shot.

From past champions such as Nicklaus, Floyd and Faldo down to the guy who removes loose-impediments from the driveway that runs the length of Magnolia Lane, the praise has almost been more than even a hard-core golf junkie can handle.
Sure, the course is way up there on the best course list, but, can someone get the talking heads down in Georgia to turn down the hype-machine just a tad. We all get it so just let the course and the tournament sell itself. It always has and it always will.
Now, I’ve got to go and watch me some golf!!
