Tim Fries and Jon Hoecker pitched matching 68s at Midvale Country Club (Penfield, NY) to share first place in the individual portion of th 2012 Midvale Pro-Am. The team of professionals Michael D’Orazio and Michael O’Connor, and amateurs Aaron Johnston, Andrew Rickard and Richard Wissler claimed first place in the team portion of the event.
Fries and Hoecker fashioned a three-stroke margin over runners-up Michael O’Connor and Alex Weir in the individual division. The champion team won its bracket by a slim stroke over host pro Rich Marr, touring professional Lon Nielsen and amateurs Bill Broomfield, Wayne Didas and Johannes LeRoux.
