The 2012 Bill Boyle, originally scheduled for Brighton golf course, was shifted to the delight of all to Sheridan Park golf course. The event, a two-man scratch better ball, saw the participation of 30 teams, equally divided between A and B flights. This year’s event saw the teams of Glen Gast/Steve Jensen (A bracket) and Tony Sweeney/FrankTedesco (B bracket) lay claim to the titles.
Gast and Jensen posted a four-under par score of 67, good for a 2-stroke margin of victory over the teams of Jeff Frey/Brian Engl and Tom Connors/Jim Costa. Sweeney and Tedesco signed for a three-over par total of 74, again good for a two-stroke edge over bracket runners-up Norm Nieminen and Dana Harrington. Four teams tied for thirds spot in the B bracket.
