Best in Buffalo-Niagara: Scrambler Omission Series ~ Hole #8
A pressing work deadline and a Scrambler Jr. dental emergency delayed this week's series, but I hope it's worth the wait. After comparing the Nominating Committee's list to mine, I discovered two other holes that I think are worthy of mention. Terry Hills ~ 311 yard...
Learn The Rules and How To Putt Better
I'm a sucker for a good seminar, I'll admit, and two are coming up in May. The first (5/12) is an introduction to a green reading system called AimPoint, to be hosted at Harvest Hill Golf Course, while the second (5/19) is a Golf Rules seminar, offered by the New York...

‘Winter’ Golf Musings
Now that spring is officially upon us, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on (unquestionably) the best winter of golf ever in WNY: Except for the few folks who head south for the winter, most golfers always complain about 'knocking' the rust off when the typical WNY...

The Amazing Winter of 2011-12 ~ A Review
Now that the 2012 Season seems to be "officially" open, it's an appropriate time to reflect on the most amazing Golfing winter I can recall. After the long, morale-sapping, soul-sucking winter of 2010-2011, the Golf Gods made it up to us. Certainly, I never...
Best Holes in Buffalo-Niagara: Scrambler’s Omission Series ~ Hole #7
If you've been following my series from the beginning, you probably have detected some themes in my taste for golf holes. In general, I enjoy the risk/rewards of 1/2 par holes, but I am also heavily influenced by topography. My formative years of golf were played...
